MISSION BAY COMMUNITY DESIGN
How These Guidelines Work
These Guidelines address exterior architectural improvements, landscape design, and the Design Review
process. Requirements already addressed in the CC&Rs, Bylaws, or Rules & Regulations are intentionally
not duplicated. Homeowners should consult those documents for parking, pets, noise, signs,
enforcement, and similar community rules.
Start With Caras
All Design Review questions and applications begin with Caras Property Management. Caras determines
whether a project is to be reviewed by the Design Review Committee (DRC) or the Architectural Review
Consultant and coordinates all official communications.
Two Review Paths
Exterior improvements that generally do not require a building permit are reviewed by the DRC. New
homes, additions, and projects requiring a building permit are reviewed by the Association’s
Architectural Review Consultant.
